The Mountain Challenge
The Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls and the Cable Car project are the jewels in Dubai’s eco-tourism crown. But for the contractor, they present a challenge rarely seen in the UAE: Topography.
- Terrain: Rocky, uneven, and steep.
- Access: Narrow mountain roads.
- Sensitivity: Protected environmental zones.
You cannot apply the “Sheikh Zayed Road” mentality here. You aren’t paving a flat strip of sand. You are engineering access into a mountain.
Scaleability for Mountain Logistics
Standard construction logistics rely on big trucks and big cranes. In Hatta, those big trucks can’t make the turns.
You need materials that can be transported on smaller, 3-ton pickup trucks or lifted by light mobile cranes. A standard 4-meter Jersey Barrier weighs 4 tons. That’s too heavy for a mountain track. We recommend Modular 1-meter or 2-meter barriers.
- Weight: Manageable (1-2 tons).
- Agility: Can be placed around tight bends and rock formations.
- Recovery: Easy to remove when the job is done, leaving no trace.
Eco-Sensitive Construction
Hatta is a sanctuary. Spilling concrete or oil here is a major violation. The construction site perimeter must be more than just a fence; it must be a containment zone.
Our Hoarding Blocks provide a solid base that prevents site runoff (silt, trash) from washing down the slope into the wadis and dams during the rainy season. This physical sediment control is often a requirement for the environmental permit.
The Cable Car Base Stations
The cable car system requires base stations at high elevations. Securing these remote sites is critical. They are often unmanned at night and contain expensive equipment.
Fencing on rock is hard. You can’t dig post holes. Our surface-mounted hoarding solutions are the only viable option. They sit on the rock, stabilized by their own mass. No drilling required. This preserves the natural rock face—a key requirement for the “Sustainable” label of the project.

The Tourist Interface
Hatta remains open to tourists during construction. Hikers and kayakers will be near your site. The barriers you use are the face of the project. A rusty, falling-down fence ruins the “Instagram moment” for the tourist and angers the developer.
We provide pristine, high-finish concrete elements. They look intentional. They look like part of the infrastructure, not a scar on the landscape.
Precision at Altitude
Building in the mountains is a test of precision, not just power. The environment is fragile, and the logistics are brutal.
Will your site be the one that blends professionally into the peaks, or the one struggling to get a truck up the hill?
