This is your “Cheat Sheet” for site perimeter fencing in the UAE. Bookmark this page. You will need it when the Municipality Inspector is walking towards your gate.
1. The Regulations (The Law)
- Dubai Law No. 7: Requires clean, uniform panels (RAL 9002).
- Wind Load: Fences must be engineered to withstand 100km/h gusts.
- Counterweights: You MUST use concrete blocks. Sandbags are banned.
- 2.0m Fence = 600kg Block.
- 2.4m Fence = 1000kg Block.
2. The Options (The Hardware)
- Continuous Hoarding: The gold standard. Panels overlap. No gaps. Requires “Block-and-Clamp” system.
- Discontinuous (Panel) Fencing: Wire mesh panels in concrete feet. Good for internal demarcation, bad for external security.
- Jersey Barrier Fence: Putting a fence on top of a Jersey Barrier. Best for maximizing plot usage (zero footprint inside the site).
3. The Speed (The Logistics)
- Cast-in-Place: 2 weeks. (Digging, Rebar, Pouring, Curing). Too slow.
- Precast Blocks: 24 Hours. (Load, Deliver, Place). The standard.
4. The Checklist
Before you call us, check these 3 things:
- Linear Meters: How long is the fence?
- Corner Points: How many 90-degree turns? (We need special blocks for corners).
- Gate Location: Where do the trucks enter? (You need a sliding gate beam foundation).
Be prepared. Be compliant. Be fast.
