Construction in the UAE is a game of logistics. You can have the best concrete in the world, but if it’s stuck in a traffic jam on Sheikh Zayed Road or sitting in a yard in Sharjah because the driver cancelled, it’s useless to you.

One of the biggest hidden risks in precast procurement is Transport Dependency.

The “Middleman” Trap

Many precast “suppliers” are actually just brokers or small yards that own one forklift and zero trucks. When you place an order for 500 Jersey Barriers, they have to:

  1. Cast the blocks.
  2. Call a third-party transport company.
  3. Negotiate a rate.
  4. Wait for a driver to accept.

If the market is busy (and in 2026, it is very busy), the third-party trucks go to the highest bidder. Your urgent delivery gets bumped.

The 40ft Advantage

At Precision Precast, we operate a fleet of 40ft Flatbed Trailers. This isn’t just about showing off; it’s about site efficiency.

1. Volume per Trip

  • 3-Ton Pickup: Can carry 1 Jersey Barrier.
  • 7-Ton Hiab: Can carry 3 Jersey Barriers.
  • 40ft Trailer: Can carry 12 Jersey Barriers.

If you need 100 meters of fencing (33 barriers), a small supplier needs to make 11 trips with a Hiab. We do it in 3 trips with a 40ft trailer.

2. Site Congestion

Every time a truck enters your site, work stops. The gate opens, the security logs it, the flagman has to guide it, and traffic halts. 11 trucks = 11 interruptions. 3 trucks = 3 interruptions.

3. The Crane Factor

Our smaller trucks are “Hiabs” (Crane-Mounted). We don’t need your tower crane to offload. We pull up, lift the blocks off ourselves, and place them exactly where you need them. You don’t burn crane time on “dumb” concrete blocks; you keep your crane focused on the steel structure.

The Question You Must Ask

Before you sign a LPO with a precast supplier, ask them one question:

“Do you own your trucks, or do you rent them?”

If they rent, their problem will eventually become your delay.

We own the fleet. We control the schedule.
